Welcome to St Moritz Ski Racing Club!

SMSRC is one of Thredbo’s oldest snow sport clubs and for over 40 years St Moritz has been providing a nurturing and rewarding environment for generations of families and junior snowsports devotees to develop their skills and enjoy the company of like-minded people aspiring to becoming great skiers for life.

Our aim is to introduce as many children as possible to snowsports and active, healthy lifestyles. Our training programs and top class coaching team encourage our young athletes to develop as individuals as well as skiers, connecting with our unique mountain environment, being part of a warm community and ultimately fostering a lifelong passion for excellence in winter sport.

We provide ski programs that consists of weekend and school holiday structured training with a focus on holistic skills acquisition rather than gate training alone. We believe that a fun and dynamic skiing environment is also the most efficient learning experience. A typical day at St Moritz can consist of anything from basic drills, skill development, bumps, steeps, groomers, gates, freestyle and everything else in between!

St Moritz is proud of its long tradition as a family ski club and parents are encouraged to participate in our club through our social events as well as our parent group ski lessons. St Moritz hosts a range of social events including a registration day BBQ, presentation evening, end of season back country ski through dead horse gap and our annual race day which wouldn’t be complete without our parents carving up the gates alongside our junior athletes.

All trainees and their families are welcome, from beginners, older skiers who are brand new to club skiing and wish to elevate their snowsports skills, through to athletes with aspirations of qualifying for Interschools nationals and childrens series racing.
